Tips from families who've done it
- Confirm Gurdwara timings first; morning ceremonies are typical and Gurdwaras book up in wedding season.
- Mention head coverings and that shoes are removed. Guests who haven't been to a Gurdwara appreciate it.
- Keep the Gurdwara and reception addresses separate so each gets its own map button.

Anand Karaj invitation FAQ
What is written at the top of an Anand Karaj invitation?
Most Sikh invitations open with ੴ (Ik Onkar), often as ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ, followed by a line such as 'With the blessings of Waheguru Ji'.
Should an Anand Karaj invitation be in Punjabi or English?
Many Canadian families use both: Gurmukhi for elders and English for friends. With Ivory Gate you can write in Gurmukhi and also switch the guest buttons to Punjabi.
Do I need to tell guests about head coverings?
It's considered thoughtful. A short note like 'Please cover your head inside the Gurdwara; scarves are available at the entrance' helps first-time guests.
